TOOLING APPROVAL
Communicating back and forth with our manufacturer. Making changes for production.  Balancing between manufacturing capabilities and our design vision.

TESTING
The best part, Product testing. Pushing and breaking our designs on dirt trails to approve our designs for production.

PRINTING
Printing, test fitting and assembling our designs as we send files to production. Refining last minute changes.

CHANGES IN CAD
Refining our design in Solidworks with incremental changes.

FINALIZED FORM
After relentless critique and refinement we landed on a design we liked.

FENDER DESIGN
Many prototypes and directions were explored to arrive at a fender that is cohesive with our design.

PRE-PROTOTYPE
This is where we chose to change the direction of the design. Breaking from the mold and pushing ourselves to create something novel yet approachable.

EARLY TESTING
Early real-world for testing was a critical step to learn what worked and what didn’t.

DRAWING BOARD
Exploring different design directions quickly through sketching.

FIRST PRINTS
Quickly moving from sketching to CAD to 3D printing to help us visualize and test the early design.

BEGINNING TO IMPROVE THE SUR-RON
New tire and fork beginning to improve the Sur-Ron but lacking seat mobility.

3D SCAN

We continued our design exploration in 3D. Starting with a 3D scan of the bike and seat.

SEAT TEST

It became obvious the Sur-Ron is a great electric moto platform but the seat needed improvement. We found that a traditional dirt bike seat fit perfectly on the frame.

SUR-RON FIRST RIDES

Our first rides on the Sur-ron peaked our interest and convinced us of the potential.
